Who I Am

Hi, my name is Reijo. I’m an artisan furniture maker.

My passion is to create wooden furniture and interior pieces you won’t find in regular stores. Every item is made as a one-off – carefully crafted, thoughtfully designed, and tailored exactly to the client’s wishes.

Everything is made with my own hands – I don’t use assistants or shortcuts. This ensures consistent quality and an honest guarantee: you’ll get exactly what you ordered.
What wonderful things I can do
Wood truly comes to life only when it's given soul through finishing. I use environmentally friendly linseed oil paints, natural waxes, stains, and lacquers.

By experimenting with different techniques and tone combinations, I create finishes that are distinctive, one-of-a-kind, and pleasing to the eye.
Custom-made furniture and interior items in solid wood

If you're tired of the dull sameness and short-lived quality of store-bought furniture, maybe it's time to consider something truly special. Furniture made just for you – built to your wishes, your dimensions, your style. Crafted from solid wood. By hand. With care and built to last for decades.

I've been working with furniture for over 30 years. Every project – big or small – is personal to me. I work with heart and always to the highest standard. I don’t cut corners with materials or craftsmanship. Every joint, every dovetail, every finish gets the time and attention it deserves. This is true craftsmanship – calm, careful, precise work that results in something you can proudly bring into your home.

Have a piece in mind? A farmhouse-style table, a cabinet, a shelf – or something modern and minimalist? Tell me about it. Send me a photo, a sketch, or just a few keywords. I’ll help shape the idea and advise you on materials, structure, and finishing.

Looking for something truly one-of-a-kind? I understand – sometimes what's out there just isn’t enough. That’s why I do what I do: to create furniture with soul. Not mass-produced, but designed and built for you and your space. If you value true craftsmanship, natural materials, and furniture that stands the test of time – feel free to get in touch.

Let’s talk about your idea – and make it real.

What types of wood I use
I mainly use birch and oak in my work. For a more exclusive touch, I can also use exotic woods like walnut or mahogany.

I can build large-scale furniture in a way that it can be disassembled for transport and easily reassembled on site.

The solid drawer construction and high-quality bottom-mounted runners ensure smooth and worry-free use for many years.

I can make different types of cabinets and dressers with either traditional hinged doors or sliding doors. Folding door solutions are also possible.

Shelves, baskets, clothes rails, and other accessories can be added according to your preferences – using components from trusted manufacturers like Pellycomp and Elfa.

Wood is a natural material that constantly interacts with its environment.
Changes in indoor humidity can cause it to “move” slightly – over time, small cracks may appear. Sunlight can gradually darken or lighten its color.
These are all natural characteristics of wood that give furniture its personality and uniqueness.

Because wood is dynamic, this must be taken into account in every piece I build.
If a piece is poorly designed, it may develop problems – such as large cracks, sticking drawers, or misaligned doors.
That’s why understanding the behavior of wood and respecting its nature is essential in my work.

To join parts together, I use both traditional mortise-and-tenon joints and modern dowel joinery.
For drawers where a distinctive look is desired, I may use dovetail joints – known for their strength and visual appeal.
These techniques ensure durability and lasting quality in every piece I make.

We can add a variety of hardware to your custom-made furniture – such as handles, knobs, and hinges.
You can choose from both traditional and more modern styles, and if you prefer, we can also install hardware that you’ve provided yourself.
Drawers in cabinets and tables can also be fitted with high-quality runners for improved comfort and long-term durability.

A cabinet door is not just a practical detail – it affects both the look of the furniture and how you use it in everyday life.
Here’s a brief overview of the different door types you can choose for your cabinet:

Traditional hinged doors
A classic choice that suits almost any interior style. The doors open outward and give you full access to the cabinet’s contents at once.
Simple, reliable, and timeless.

Sliding doors
An ideal solution for smaller spaces where every centimeter matters. The doors slide sideways on tracks and overlap each other, so they don’t require additional space to open.
A modern and space-saving option.

Can be installed on almost any type of cabinet – wardrobes, closets, dressers, TV cabinets, and more.

Folding doors (accordion doors)
Folding doors are practical and flexible – they fold neatly to the side to save space.
They are especially common in wardrobes.

I can equip your custom-made furniture with legs in a variety of styles – turned shapes, solid square profiles, slim and tapered designs, curved Rococo-style legs, or flowing Art Nouveau shapes.
You can also choose a clean and simple base with a solid plinth.

If you’d like to add more character to your furniture, one great way is with solid wood door panels and drawer fronts.
I can craft these exactly to your preferences – either smooth and minimal or with beautifully beveled edges.
There are many wood species to choose from to create visual interest, such as walnut, mahogany, cherry, or native oak.

The cost of installation and delivery depends on the ordered product and its specific details.
Delivery times also vary depending on the nature of the order and how much work I currently have in progress.

Simpler pieces usually take about two weeks to complete, while more complex projects may take 1–2 months.
If needed, I can also visit you in person to view the space and discuss the project.

The payment method is agreed upon at the time of ordering.
